To persuade: meaning to convince someone to do something through reasoning, sustained effort, and sensory stimulation.
Whilst studying persuasive advertising, year 4 were struck by tourist board commercials. Specifically those designed to convince someone to visit a foreign country. We were inspired by the energy, visual assault and word play used to persuade people to visit. As it was Christmas time, and Lapland is the home of Father Christmas, we researched Lapland in order to produce our own commercials. With the criteria understood, the class wrote, voiced and produced these ‘Visit Lapland’ commercials.
