As part of Class 2’s topic ‘Street Detectives,’ they visited Beamish Museum to see what streets were like 100 years ago! They discovered lots about the past especially how different the streets were compared to ours today. They had, earlier in the topic, walked around Dunston, so it was easy to see the differences between the two. The children loved the ride on the tram and exploring all the different shops. They even got the chance to visit the school and realised how lucky they are today!!! It was a very busy day after all that detective work. However, their work is not over….they are now writing non-chronological reports all about their visit.
