As part of Year 2’s topic, “Turrets, Tunnels and Towers,”, they went to Prudhoe Castle. They had a great time exploring all around the castle grounds and investigating all the different parts of the castle. They discovered that the ‘Keep’ was in the middle of the castle, so was very well protected! They also learned that there was an outer wall called the ‘Pele Wall’. They enjoyed walking where the moat  used to be, and firing an arrow out of the ‘Arrow Slit’ window. It was a very informative day which brought history to life!
