Thursday 7th March was World Book Day! Miss Hill began the day with an assembly and some children shared their favourite books with everyone. We thought about all the different times that we could read: at breakfast, in the car, before dinner, in the yard and at bedtime. Everyone brought one of their favourite books into school to read during DEAR!

DEAR means – Drop Everything And Read! During the day the school bell was rang and everyone had to drop whatever they were doing and begin reading their book. This happened at all different times throughout the day, you had to keep your book with you as you never knew when the bell would go! Mrs Douglass even managed to read stories to some classes at the end of the day. All the classes enjoyed some World Book Day activities in class.
