Class 4 were inspired by the patterns they’d noticed on Viking jewelry, shields, and motifs. Following some further research using a range of secondary sources, the pupils designed their repeating pattern using a geometric, or linear process. Then, after lots of practice, we carved out patterns into printing blocks ready to roll in paint and apply. It took a few practice goes to get the pressure and paint quantity correct. We hope you like our prints!
